Still no sign of man missing, feared drowned in Lake Lanier

Crews to return Wednesday to search for missing teen on Lake Lanier

The search resumes this morning for a 28 year-old man missing and presumed drowned in Lake Lanier. His would be the third drowning in the Lake in the past two weeks.

Authorities in Hall County came up empty Monday after searching for a man who jumped into Lake Lanier over the weekend and never resurfaced.

Wardens from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources searched for the man through the night and into Monday morning, but did not locate him, according to spokesman Mark McKinnon. A new crew arrived at 7 a.m. to continue the search, but that crew went home by 6:30 p.m.
