PEACHTREE CITY, GA — An investigation is underway after a small, single-engine plane made an emergency landing Thursday on Highway 74 near the Peachtree City Athletic Complex.

Police say the aircraft experienced engine trouble but was able to land safely. No one was injured.

An official from nearby Falcon Field confirmed the plane had departed from the airport with a flight instructor and a student pilot on board.
