SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — Late Wednesday organizers canceled the Imagine Music Festival due to wet weather in the forecast. The Imagine Music Festival organizers are offering refunds or the opportunity to transfer tickets to the now scheduled 2022 festival.
“I just saw one of my friends say it’s canceled and with a screenshot. and I was like ‘what?,” " said participant Christopher Roberts.
Festival goers were shocked to find out that the event had been canceled.
“We have people who are in Atlanta right now and don’t have anything to do…don’t have any housing,” said Roberts.
Thursday, Channel 2′s Audrey Washington went to the festival location in south Fulton County to try to speak with organizers. They did not speak with her and she was asked to leave the property.
“I kind of just try to roll with it and take the good with the bad,” said Sarah Sims.
Sims is the owner of Squad Goals Beauty and planned to set up shop at the festival. She says she drove 14 hours, set up two booths at the festival, and shelled out several thousand dollars for the event.
“I had a staff of 12 with me that’s airfare, hotel stays. They’re not making money, I’m not making money so it’s a huge loss to us all,” said Sims.
Some vendors have gotten creative to find ways to salvage this weekend.

Hunter has a plan B. She organized the Imagine ON Festival when she learned about the cancelation.
She says the main event will happen inside a warehouse on Pryor Street this weekend.
“We are going to be selling tickets this afternoon. People with Imagine Music wristbands will have discounted tickets,” says Hunter. Hunter.
