CANTON, GA — The mother found guilty of stabbing and killing her 13-month-old daughter has been sentenced to 30 years to life with parole, duty to her mental illness, on Thursday afternoon.
In December 2020, 24-year-old Chloe Driver was involved with a polyamorous cult and traveling with other members from North Carolina to Florida when she stabbed her baby while staying at a home in Canton.
A visibly emotional Chloe Driver listened to a lengthy victim impact statement delivered by Benyamin Ben Michael, the father of their 13-year-old daughter, Hannah. Tears streamed from her face as he spoke about his time spent with Hannah and expressed his anger over her actions.
Afterwards, her attorney noted that Chloe has always acknowledged killing her daughter, but insisted her mental illness was a mitigating factor and the reason she was not able to remove herself from the cult environment.
