Two people are charged with murder after the shooting death of a man during a robbery of his video game console.
Sandy Springs police tell WSB, 28-year old Daniel John Zeitz of Roswell was found dead when officers responded to the 5300 block of Treelodge Parkway at about 9:30pm on Friday, September 12.
Police say Zeitz had arranged to sell the young couple a Play Station 4 video game system advertised on Craigslist. Police say the suspects came to his apartment intending to rob him of the game console, and wound up shooting him.
Police say the shooter is a 16-year old girl, who is currently charged as a juvenile.
Her boyfriend, 20-year old Nathaniel Vivian of Stone Mountain, is also charged.
Police say they were able to track down the suspects at Northside Hospital where Vivian was being treated for a gunshot wound. During the robbery, the 16-year old accidentally shot him as she was trying to shoot Zeitz. The bullet passed through Vivian's hand, and struck Zeitz in the side.
Detectives also say the 16-year old's infant child, about 16-months old, was in the back seat of the suspect's car during the robbery and shooting. The child has been turned over to relatives.
