LOGANVILLE, GA — Loganville police announce an arrest in the shooting of a Walton County CVS employee last year.

Police say 29-year-old Evander Derrell Choates was charged with murder in the case.

Police say Kimberly Whaley was shot and killed in broad daylight in November of 2025.

It happened as Whaley pulled into work at the CVS.

She worked as a CVS Pharmacy Tech.

Police have not released a motive for the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation.
