DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A man is now in custody after holding his girlfriend and her children inside a Lithonia apartment for hours Thursday morning.

Dekalb County police say they first responded to the unit on Fairington Ridge Circle after one of the children called 911.

31-year-old Calvin Millbrooks refused to leave the unit, leading to a SWAT standoff. Authorities eventually got inside through a window and arrested him. They later found he had multiple outstanding domestic violence warrants.

No one was injured.
