ATLANTA — Former Georgia Bulldog and NFL star Herschel Walker has been confirmed as the newest ambassador to the Bahamas.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Senate passed Senate Resolution 412, which confirmed Walker to the role under the Trump administration with a 50-47 vote.

Walker won a Heisman Trophy and a National Championship during his time as a Georgia Bulldogs’ running back.

Walker was nominated by Trump for the role in 2024.
