Here’s when the Buckhead Target store will reopen after it was set on fire

Target evacuated after fire breaks out inside Buckhead store, officials say (WSB-TV)

A Target in Buckhead that officials say was set on fire in late January is set to reopen at the beginning of next week.

Atlanta fire officials said on Jan. 23, someone intentionally set the store on Piedmont Road on fire to allow shoplifters an opportunity to escape as others rushed out of the burning store.

Target security said the store would reopen on Sunday, Mar. 12, or Monday, Mar. 13.

Investigators announced that they believe fires at the Target on Piedmont Road and Walmart stores on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Howell Mill Road were set as distractions for shoplifters.

Despite the same motives, investigators have not linked the fires to one another.

The fires caused millions of dollars in damage to the three stores.
