ATLANTA — Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr is joining a lawsuit challenging a California plastics law.

The 17-state coalition includes the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors.

Carr said California has no right to tell people how to manage businesses in Georgia. He said that is exactly what the plastics act attempts to do.

Carr also called the California act an unconstitutional mandate.

It is unclear if other states will join in on the lawsuit.
