GDOT cancels full closure of I-285 this weekend due to rain

ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Transportation has canceled the scheduled full closure of the Westside Perimeter of I-285 in Atlanta due to rain in the forecast.

The full closure was supposed to go from Cascade Road to Langford Parkway throughout the entire weekend.

GDOT officials say the next full closure is scheduled later this month on Oct. 23 - Oct. 26.

The construction work is a part of the ongoing I-285 Westside Rebuild Project.
