MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. — The Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing woman.
Deputies said the last known communication with Karen Kristina Lee, 31, was by phone on January 18.
Lee was last seen leaving a home on Roosevelt Highway in Greenville, Ga. on or around Jan. 15. Deputies said she recently relocated to Georgia from Florida.
Channel 2 Action News spoke to Lee’s family, who said she moved to Georgia in December to live with her two children and their father. Before that, Lee was a lifelong resident of Gulf Breeze.
Her sister, Taria White, said the father heard from her on Jan. 16. She told him she would call him and never did.
“We are so worried and we just want to know she’s safe,” White said. “We love her so very much. Her children are extremely worried and distraught over her being missing.”
