FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — A boil water advisory is in effect for a portion of Forsyth County. It is due to a damaged water main in Cumming along Holtzclaw road between Pilgrim Mill road and Holtzclaw drive.

The affected area includes Fire Station 5 and Chattahoochee Elementary, but school spokesperson Michele Dugan says classes will be held as normal and parents have been advised.

Pre-packaged meals will also be provided. The county is slowly restoring water service, but the boil advisory will be in effect for at least 48 hours.

Chattahoochee elementary is the only impacted school.

Bottled water and hand sanitizer is on-site and Pre-packaged meals have been provided. Any food prep using water will be brought in from offsite locations.
