MARTA police have arrested three suspects in connection with the April 16 assault of two Delta employees on a southbound train.  More arrests are expected.

Police Chief Wanda Dunham says Zantavious Sanchez Scott and Jarquez Scott are being held at the Fulton County Jail in connection with the incident.  Authorities say a 16-year-old male is also being held at the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta.

According to authorities, the suspects are being held on aggravated assault, aggravated battery and robbery by force charges.

Witnesses say a large group of young people beat up two Delta employees on a train as it traveled south from the Garnett station to Oakland City.  The assault began just after midnight and a witness told Channel 2 Action News one of the men had a soda can smashed into his face and his wallet was stolen.  The other victim was repeatedly punched in the face.

An investigation is underway and arrest warrants have been issued for at least two other suspects.
