Hackers threaten to expose users of a cheaters' website

AshleyMadison.com is a dating website designed for people already in relationships

Hackers access personal information of millions of users of AshleyMadison.com, a website catering to cheaters.

The owner of the site, Avid Life Media, confirms data has been stolen, including user databases and credit card records.  AshleyMadison.com boasts 37.5 million users worldwide.  It's motto is "Life is short.  Have an affair."

Hackers have instructed Avid to take AshleyMadison.com and a hook-up site, EstablishedMen.com off-line permanently or customer information will be released, including real names, addresses and even secret sexual fantasies.

The blog, Krebs on Security, says hackers have already leaked some information.  A statement from the hackers labels the men, "cheating dirtbags."

Avid says it's secured both sites and is working with law enforcement agencies.

For now, both sites remain in business.
