Authorities are reviewing hundreds of hours of surveillance video at a Cartersville Walmart after two more syringes were found in clothing.  Police say so far nothing suspicious has been detected in the seemingly "endless" hours of tape.

Sergeant Jonathan Rogers of the Bartow County Sheriff's Office says authorities have no clues at this time.

"The three needles that we had tested for fingerprint analysis, the GBI crime lab said the results did not yield any identifiable fingerprints," said Rogers.

He says DNA testing to determine if anything infectious was inside of the syringes is due back in several weeks.  The newest syringes were found inside the front pocket of a woman's nightgown and the pocket of a man's hooded sweatshirt.  One was found Thursday, the other was discovered Friday.

Customers tell Channel 2 Action News they are concerned.

"We won't buy any clothing from here.  Now, it's to the point my wife doesn't want me shopping for groceries because what if they're next," said one shopper.

Rogers say nine syringes have been discovered since November 22.

"Every one of them has been found in clothing," said Rogers.

Authorities do not know who has been putting the syringes in the clothing or why they are doing it.

"It's kind of scary. It makes you wonder what kind of person would do that," said a shopper.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cartersville-Bartow County Crimestoppers Tipline at 770-606-TIPS (8477).
