Fire displaces 22 residents, damages 11 units at Roswell apartment complex

Roswell firefighters extinguish apartment fire, 2 units damaged

ROSWELL, Ga. — An investigation is underway into what caused a fire at an apartment complex in Roswell on Monday evening.

Fire crews responded to an apartment fire on Quail Run just before 8 p.m. Upon arrival, heavy fire and smoke was visible from the roof of the apartment complex.

No injuries were reported. Everyone, including pets were evacuated safely.

According to the Roswell Fire Department, 11 units were impacted and 22 residents were displaced.

The American Red Cross is assisting those who were impacted.

“This serves as an important reminder to check your smoke alarms,” the Roswell Fire Department said. “Make sure you have them in every bedroom, outside sleeping areas, and on every level of your home. A few seconds of preparation can make all the difference in an emergency,”

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
