LOS ANGELES — Gang leaders on Friday held a unity meeting in honor of rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot and killed last week in front of his South Los Angeles clothing store.
Hussle, 33, was just hours away from attending a Los Angeles Police Department meeting on gang violence and prevention when the tragedy occurred.
“He was working closely with this city to transform lives and change lives,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said. “Nipsey Hussle was an artist who touched our city and far beyond the City of Angels.”
