Coronavirus Testing -

  • Cherokee County (open to 60 years and older): The Speciman Point of Collection (SPOC) site in Cherokee County will be open for COVID-19 testing starting March 23rd - 27th, to persons 60 years old and over with symptoms of COVID-19. For more information on location and hours click here.
  • Cobb County (High-risk Only) is offering drive-up testing for the Coronavirus at Jim Miller Park. Doctors will primarily screen "high-risk" individuals.
  • Piedmont Hospital (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Mon - Fri.): You MUST call first, no walk-ins accepted. To schedule an appointment call 866-460-1119.

Disaster Loan Assistance (Small Businesses): Governor Brian Kemp announced Georgia has received an official statewide disaster declaration from the U.S. Small Business Administration. This declaration will provide assistance to in the form of SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans to impacted small businesses in all 159 counties in Georgia. Small businesses can visit the SBA online to initiate the process.

Giving Kitchen supports food service workers with compassion and care by providing financial assistance to those in crisis due to an unexpected illness, injury, death of an immediate family member or housing disaster in Georgia.  Donate now.

  • Food service workers in Georgia who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and/or those who are under doctor's orders for a mandatory quarantine should ask for help at Giving Kitchen.
  • Food service workers experiencing unemployment due to restaurant closings should start with their Stability Network resources.

Homeless Assistance:

Love Beyond the Walls
This organization has set up wash stations around downtown Atlanta for the homeless to keep their hands clean. The stations are set up in Hurt Park and areas where the homeless congregate.

Hope Atlanta is currently open and providing homeless outreach in North and South Fulton. Citizens who require services should contact Hope Atlanta at 404-817-7070 or email info@hopeatlanta.org.

If you need immediate assistance and are not able to reach a representative, please call the United Way at 211.

Free Internet: 

  • Comcast 855-846-8376 English, 855-765-6995 Spanish
    Starting on March 16, Comcast will be extending their service to low-income families. New customers who are low-income and live in the Comcast service are can sign up to receive 60 days of free internet service. Existing customers of their Internet Essentials service will have their speeds increased
  • Charter-Spectrum 844-488-8395
    Free broadband and wi-fi access will be available for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who are new customers. Installation fees will also be waived to households with students.
  • AT&T will not terminate the service of any of their wireless, home phone or broadband residential or small business customers due to nonpayment for the next 60 days. They will also waive the late payment fees. Additionally, their fixed wireless internet and home internet customers can use unlimited data.

Meals on Wheels: The North DeKalb, South DeKalb, DeKalb-Atlanta and East DeKalb (Bruce Street) senior centers will be open to distribute meals to their 559 customers only. Seniors will be able to pick up their meals between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Senior customers of these centers who do not have transportation should call 770-322-2950 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Lou Walker and Mason Mill multipurpose senior centers will be closed until further notice.

Prescription Delivery: 

  • CVS: is offering free medication delivery from March 9th - May 1st. Delivery is available for eligible prescription drug orders with qualifying prescription benefit programs and insurance plans. Contact your local CVS for details.
  • Walgreens: is waiving delivery fees for all eligible prescriptions during the COVID-19  pandemic. The will offer free delivery on any purchase at www.walgreens.com.

Slutty Vegan Serving Service Workers of the Community:

 Times of Service: 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM

In response to the pandemic, starting Tuesday 3/17, Slutty Vegan ATL will exclusively serve the service workers of the community (police officers, fire fighters, doctors, nurses, teachers, EMT, utility workers, TSA, etc.). Hours of operation will be 12:30 PM to 8 PM.
The restaurant will provide walk up window service, for service workers only. Please visit Slutty Vegan to order ahead.

Storage: Uhaul is offering free storage for one month to students being forced to leave campus.
