SPC tornado probability Thursday-Thursday night

ATLANTA — Strong storms downed trees and power lines, damaged buildings and spawned at least one confirmed tornado in Georgia Thursday afternoon.

A dangerous, long-track tornado that carved a path of destruction across Alabama earlier Thursday moved into west Georgia around 4:40 p.m. The storm was first warned around 1:30 p.m.

At least five people were killed in Alabama when tornadoes moved through Thursday afternoon.
