ATHENS – Georgia baseball battered South Carolina-Upstate 9-2 with a dominant ‘small ball’ attack on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs (28-21, 10-14 SEC) had just one extra-base hit and improved to 18-7 in nonconference play before a scattered Foley Field crowd.
UGA used five RBI singles to power an eight-run fifth inning, beginning with Georgia’s top two hitters. Charlie Condon and Connor Tate split the infield with back-to-back RBI hits to take a 3-2 lead.
