Q – We recently moved into a newly constructed home and noticed several windows have fog and condensation between the panes of glass.
The builder says that is normal and will go away, but I think it is ugly.
What do you think?

A – I think your builder’s brain is a little foggy.
When the seal on double pane windows is compromised, i.e. when air from outside the 2 panes of glass gets inside the 2 panes of glass, the windows will fog due to condensation.
Sad to report, they never get better. Ever. Never.
You may be in luck that the windows have some sort of valid warranty still on them, but the majority of the time new windows are what you are looking at.
And maybe a new builder.
