After a major shake-up to his national campaign team, Donald Trump is also announcing additions to his staff in Georgia.
Jennifer Hazelton will serve as Communications Director for the Trump/Pence 2016 campaign in Georgia, and Billy Kirkland will serve as the state's Senior Advisor.
Trump's Georgia State Director Brandon Phillips says, "We have assembled an all-star team dedicated to keeping Georgia in the Republican win column."
He says, "We are committed to taking Mr. Trump's message to all Georgians, and turning the enthusiasm of this grassroots movement into votes to win in November."
Hazelton previously served as Communications Director for Georgia Congressman Tom Graves in Washington. She held the same role during a 2014 congressional campaign in San Diego. Before working in politics, Hazelton worked for CNN in Atlanta, London and New York. She is a native of Atlanta.
Kirkland led the successful Senate campaign of David Perdue in 2015. Before the campaign, Kirkland worked as the National Field Director for the Faith & Freedom Coalition. He also worked in former Governor Sonny Perdue's Intergovernmental Affairs Office. Kirkland is a native of Henry County.
With under three months until Election Day, Trump announced major changes to his national campaign staff Wednesday. Stephen Bannon of Breitbart News will serve as chief executive officer and pollster Kellyanne Conway has been promoted to campaign manager.
Campaign chairman Paul Manafort will maintain his title. He took over the campaign after Corey Lewandowski left in June.
