Santa In Skycopter Look carefully: that’s Santa taking flight in the Skycopter, 1960s.
Braves Train advertisement for WSB’s Atlanta Braves broadcasts, which began when the team first arrived here in 1966.
Braves Promo Apparently the Braves themselves—nor announcer Milo Hamilton!—were sexy enough to advertise WSB’s baseball coverage.
Newsroom WSB newsroom, late 1960s. Definite gender gap—it’s all men!
Riot Aftermath The arrow points to WSB reporter Andy Still standing near Mayor Ivan Allen outside the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Clippings attached to the photo indicate the crowd has assaulted Still and tipped over his news vehicle. Protestors signs read “We Want Justice” and “Help Stop Police Brutality Against The Black Man”. This is possibly after the September, 1966 riot in the Summerhill neighborhood, which followed the police shooting of a black man.
