DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A woman is facing multiple charges after an officer involved shooting and hostage situation in DeKalb County last week.

One officer was shot in a bulletproof vest during the exchange of gunfire.

45-year-old Shkinnia Patrice Thomas of Riverdale was also injured.

The GBI says she’s charged with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

The officer who was shot did not require medical treatment.
