ATLANTA — Hundreds of local warehouse workers who work for a major distributor for Whole Foods agree to a new five-year contract agreement.

Teamsters officials say the deal with United Natural Foods, Inc. provides a 30% wage increase, health care coverage, participation in a pension plan and other benefits.

Union officials say it represents significant gains for more than 225 workers who’ve been fighting for a contract that meets the industry standard.
