1st Sergeant Karen Moore sat dead on her couch in her Braselton home for nearly a day before a neighbor discovered her lifeless body.

"The mom was sitting down watching TV," said Assistant Police Chief Lou Salis.  "The TV was on when we got there," he added.

Braselton Police now say Moore was killed Wednesday evening most likely after an argument with her 15 year old daughter over the 17 year old boy she was seeing.

"it was an ongoing argument about different things," he said, "and one of those things was about the boy."

Police say the teen confessed and has been charged in the murder.  The district attorney will determine whether she'll be tried as an adult.

Her boyfriend, Christopher Nieves is facing charges of statuatory rape.  Both he and Moore are being held in Youth Detention in Gainesville.

The Moore's are a military family who also have a son who is serving in the army.
