ATLANTA — People who heard a loud explosion Friday in north Georgia can chalk it up to the SpaceX Dragon capsule.
The capsule flew across Georgia, rattling parts of the state with a sonic boom as it broke the sound barrier.
Channel 2 Action News viewer Amanda Philips Moore sent in video of the capsule streaking across the sky with the sound of a low rumble.
“I just got a really cool video of the SpaceX Dragon coming home! And about 5 mins after it passed, I was able to hear the boom!” Moore wrote.
The capsule splashed down off of the Florida coast at 4:55 p.m. with four astronauts onboard.
