ATLANTA — Atlanta-born music star Clifford Harris Jr., known popularly as the rapper T.I., will put on a special performance in the city to ring in the New Year.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra announced T.I. will perform at Atlanta Symphony Hall on Dec. 29, accompanied by the Atlanta Pops Orchestra.

The concert will celebrate the 20 years since T.I.’s second studio album, “Trap Muzik.”

The “Trap Muzik” album redefined the hip-hop soundscape, according to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

The music organization said the album was more than just music, but signaled a “seismic shift” in culture, bringing forth albums like “Be Easy,” “Rubber Band Man” and “Let’s Get Away.”

The Atlanta Pops Orchestra will be led by Conductor Michael Giel for the Dec. 29 concert.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday on Ticketmaster, and the show will be hosted by Opus Group Entertainment, according to the announcement.
