We have this morning the name of the Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy who was struck by a car on I-85 late last week: Franklin County Sheriff Steve Thomas says deputy Mack Macirty is recovering in his home. The accident happened while Macirty and another deputy were inspecting a reportedly stolen vehicle on the interstate in Franklin County.

A DeKalb County Police Sergeant was killed in a weekend accident, hit by a car while responding to a crash that involved another DeKalb County Police Officer: Daniel Mobley (pictured) was a 22-year veteran of the police department in DeKalb County. Police say charges are pending against the driver in the case.
