DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Two people were injured in a DeKalb apartment fire early Monday morning.

The DeKalb Fire and Rescue Department confirmed that they were working a fire on Glenwood Road.

The woman says her 12-year-old son started the bedroom on fire around 4 a.m.

She said her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend could not get down the hall, so they jumped out of the window.

Two neighbors in the next apartment were briefly trapped inside and firefighters were able to rescue them.

Firefighters have not confirmed those details on how the fire started. However, the 12-year-old boy was detained at the scene.
