The GBI Sunday morning says a one-year-old at the center of an abduction out of Newton County has died.

Earlier, an Amber Alert had been issued in the search for Jaquari Bennett, who had been last seen at 95 Chandler Field Drive in Covington late Saturday night.
Police had named 38-year-old Darian Javaris Bennett as the suspect.
The Newton County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation.
