COWETA COUNTY, GA — A new amusement park may be coming to metro Atlanta.

An Atlanta-based developer plans to build the Big Poplar-Two project in the area of Poplar Road and the Newnan Crossing bypass in Coweta County.

The plan calls for a 13-acre amusement park as part of a larger mixed-use development that would include retail, hotels, and other amenities in East Newnan.

If approved, the proposed project would be completed by 2036.
