ATLANTA — Metro Atlanta drivers could encounter several highway closures this weekend as the Georgia Department of Transportation continues road work across the area.

A full closure of I-285 between Cascade Road and Langford Parkway is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Friday.

Beginning at 9 p.m., GDOT will also have rolling lane closures on I-20 between Hill Street and Columbia Drive as part of an ongoing concrete rehabilitation project.

Lane closures are also planned on I-20 eastbound at Glenwood Avenue while crews make repairs to barriers and glare screens.

Drivers can also expect lane closures along five miles of I-85 between Riverdale Road and Metropolitan Parkway, as well as areas of I-85 near the I-20 and I-285 interchanges.

All of the scheduled closures are weather permitting.
