COBB COUNTY, GA — Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr announced that his office has filed a formal accusation against a metro Atlanta area attorney.

Officials say Roger L. Curry, 77, was charged with three counts of pandering and one count of sexual battery. Curry was identified as an attorney with Roger L. Curry, P.C. in Marietta, The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says it began investigating in after receiving a report that Curry solicited sexual acts from a client.

Curry was arrested on April 29 and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, GBI officials said.

The move means the state believes it has enough evidence to take the case to trial without a grand jury indictment.

“These are serious allegations that will not be tolerated, no matter who is involved,” Attorney General Chris Carr said. “We’re proud to have worked with the GBI on this case, and we will ensure those responsible are held fully accountable for their actions.”

Officials say the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit investigated the case.

“Our Human Exploitation and Trafficking (HEAT) Unit works closely with our local, state, and federal partners to investigate human trafficking and protect victims from further exploitation,” GBI Director Chris Hosey said. “Undercover operations are a critical tool in these investigations, helping us expose those who abuse positions of trust and exploit vulnerable individuals. We will continue to pursue these offenders and hold them accountable.”
