MARTA to suspend streetcar service in September while crews make utility repairs

MARTA streetcar

ATLANTA, Ga. — MARTA officials announced they plan to suspend streetcar service later this year.

This will begin on Sept. 8 so crews can complete vital underground utility repairs by Georgia Power.

This will align with scheduled infrastructure upgrades. The service suspension is expected to last around three to four months.

MARTA shuttle vans will provide service along the streetcar route.
