ATLANTA — Drivers can expect more delays along the Westside Perimeter this weekend as crews continue work on the I-285 Westside Rebuild project.
Unlike previous weekends, I-285 will not completely close. Two lanes in each direction will be shut down between Langford Parkway and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Two left lanes will be closed northbound between Langford Parkway and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, while two right lanes will be closed southbound between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Langford Parkway.
The closures are expected to begin after Friday evening rush hour and remain in place through 5 a.m. Monday.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says the next full closure of I-285 on the Westside Perimeter is scheduled for next weekend.
The contractor is also tentatively planning full closures for the weekends of Sept. 11-14 and Sept. 25-27. Those plans are subject to change depending on the weather.
