(EAST POINT, Ga.) — A portion of I-285 southbound is shut down in south Fulton County after a tractor-trailer caught fire.

According to Triple Team Traffic, I-285SB is closed at Camp Creek Pkwy. in East Point.

NewsChopper 2 is flying over the scene and sees the tractor-trailer on fire and creating large amounts of smoke in the area.

I-75 and I-85 southbound as alternates are severely backed up, according to Triple Team Traffic.

It’s unclear what led to the fire and if anyone was injured.

There is no word on an expected time for it to clear and the interstate to reopen.
