COLUMBUS, Ga. — A Georgia woman is behind bars and now facing charges related to her father’s death.
Columbus police say Jerry Faulkner went into cardiac arrest on Wednesday night and was taken to a nearby hospital. Less than 15 minutes later, he had been pronounced dead.
Paramedics noticed visible injuries on his face and neck.
Investigators spoke with witnesses at the house where Jerry Faulkner was picked up by EMS and called homicide investigators to the home.
Jerry Faulkner’s daughter, 37-year-old Marisa Faulkner, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and battery.
Police have not commented on how Jerry Faulkner received his injuries.
They have also not released further details on what led to Marisa Faulkner being charged.
