NORCROSS, GA — A driver is facing 15 charges after Georgia State Patrol says he fled a street takeover and crashed into another vehicle.

Troopers say Trey Adkins reached speeds of 145 mph before the crash, which seriously injured the other driver.

The incident happened just after midnight on Sept. 24 near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Blue Ridge Industrial Parkway.

Troopers say Adkins was taking part in a stunt-driving takeover when they arrived. They say he drove away before crashing into the other vehicle.

Adkins is accused of running from the scene after the crash.

He was later booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on 15 charges, including hit-and-run.

Adkins has since bonded out of jail and is awaiting his first court appearance.
