ATLANTA — Move over, MARTA bus that spoiled the Dome demolition. Thanks to the Braves, Atlanta has a new bus meme.
During Friday’s World Championship parade, many fans were irked that the caravan carrying Braves players plowed down Peachtree Street like they were late for a game. The parade was at a much slower pace is it winded its way through the Battery.

WSB-TV Sports Director Zach Klein quipped on-air, “It’s the fastest anyone’s ever gone down Peachtree in Atlanta traffic.”

And of course, the jokes quickly started to circulate on social media. There were jabs at the city’s history with the Atlanta Sports Curse (RIP), comparisons to Formula 1 and of course, “Speed” references.
