ATLANTA — A man was critically injured in a shooting in northwest Atlanta early Saturday morning,

Police responded to reports of a person shot at the 1000 block of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard just before 4 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the man with gunshot wounds.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had been dropped off at the location by a private vehicle,” Atlanta police officials said.

He was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The investigation remains ongoing.
