One suspect was dead and three others in custody after a home invasion early Tuesday at a house in Doraville, police said.

Doraville police spokesman Gene Callaway told the AJC that sometime after 5:30 a.m., the four men broke into a home on Doral Drive, and at some point, one of the intruders was shot.

Callaway said the other three suspects fled the scene with the wounded man, went to a location in Gwinnett County, changed clothes, then took the wounded suspect to a local hospital.

The wounded suspect later died of his wounds.

The other three suspects were taken into custody at the hospital. Their names have not been released.

Jason Moore lives next door to the victims. He told WSB's Richard Sangster, at the time of home invasion, he heard glass breaking. "Its really scary, I thought this was a safe neighborhood," he said. "I don't know what I heard. It was really loud and smashing."
