ATLANTA — Atlanta police have released new information about a deadly shooting at a Buckhead apartment complex Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the Cortland at Buckhead Village apartments on Peachtree Road, where one man was found dead. Investigators now say the victim and the suspect who is in custody, are cousins.

According to police, the suspect was visiting from Florida when a dispute between the two escalated into gunfire. The names of the victim and suspect have not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
