DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A woman has been sentenced to life in prison in connection to a deadly shooting in 2024.

Officials say 31-year-old Quenisha Poole has been found guilty of felony murder in the death of 45-year old Erick Smith.

Officials say Smith was dating Poole’s mother in DeKalb County at the time.

He was shot to death while the two of them were in a moving vehicle, officials say.

An afternoon of drinking and arguing is what investigators say led up to the shooting.
