ATLANTA — Game 6 of the WNBA Finals between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream will be played at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Thursday, October 29 at 12:30 p.m. ET, the WNBA announced on Monday.
According to officials, the Atlanta Hawks agreed to move the start time of their regular season game against the Cleveland Cavaliers to 8:00 p.m. ET.
The game, originally scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, will still air on USA Network and stream on Peacock, according to officials.
“The sellout crowds and extraordinary atmosphere at State Farm Arena for Games 3 and 4 were a tremendous success, and we’re excited to give thousands more fans the opportunity to experience Game 6 with a championship on the line,” WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said. “We thank the NBA, Dream, Valkyries, Hawks, State Farm Arena and USA Network for the collaboration and flexibility that made this move possible. We look forward to delivering another unforgettable Finals experience in Atlanta.”
The Valkyries head into Game 5 in San Francisco on Monday evening tied 2-2 with the Atlanta Dream, thanks to their decisive 67-62 win in Game 4.
The 42-26 deficit at halftime of Game 4 was the largest that the Dream had faced all playoffs. The Valkyries were able to impose their will on both sides of the court and raced out to a 16 point lead at one point. During the second half of Game 4, the Dream cut the lead to under 10 points. However, each time the Dream went on a run, the Valkyries answered.
“The WNBA and NBA, alongside USA Network, NBC and Peacock, will bolster their marketing and promotional efforts with a coordinated push across broadcast, digital and social platforms to drive tune-in and build awareness of the new game time,” State Farm Arena officials said.
Earlier this month, the Atlanta Dream announced a new, multi-year agreement with State Farm Arena that will make the award-winning downtown Atlanta venue the new home for all home games beginning in the 2027 season.
The Dream, which normally plays its home games at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, also worked with the WNBA to secure State Farm Arena to accommodate larger crowds for the championship series for Games 3 and 4.
Tickets for Game 6 of the WNBA Finals will go on sale to the general public at 4 p.m. ET at atlantadream.com.
