DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Six people are in jail after a traffic stop by DeKalb County sheriff’s deputies led to the seizure of suspected drugs and more than $40,000 in cash.
Officials say deputies pulled over a van last week and found between 220 and 250 pounds of suspected marijuana inside the vehicle.
The suspected drugs have an estimated street value of more than $2.8 million.
The traffic stop led deputies to obtain a search warrant for a storage facility, where authorities found about 1,200 boxes containing synthetic THC, psilocybin mushrooms and other marijuana products.
Authorities arrested six adults in connection with the drugs and cash.
All six are facing multiple charges and are being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
