Two new measles cases linked to outbreak at metro Atlanta area daycare

ATLANTA — Two new measles cases are linked to the outbreak at a metro Atlanta daycare.

Georgia Department of Public Health officials say this brings the outbreak to a total of ten cases.

Georgia has 16 confirmed measles cases so far this year, health officials said.

Health officials previously said the children impacted were either unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, officials said.

The daycare linked to the outbreak has not been named by officials.

The Georgia Department of Health is trying to identify additional close contacts.
