ATLANTA — A new analysis finds the trade war between the U.S. and Canada could have an impact on Georgia’s economy.

Georgia Chamber Foundation Executive Director Daniela Perry says Canada does a lot of business with Georgia.

“Higher costs for families, disrupting supply chains that are critical to our businesses,” Perry said.

Perry says tariff uncertainty will likely mean higher costs for businesses and consumers.

Georgia exports $6.8 billion in goods to Canada annually, and Perry says Canada is Georgia’s fourth-largest trading partner overall.

“The unpredictability that these evolving trade negotiations are creating is certainly challenging for businesses to navigate,” she said.
