ATLANTA — A new survey finds younger Americans appear to be embracing religion at higher rates than older generations.

The Harris Poll found that Gen Z adults between the ages of 18 and 29 are embracing religion at higher rates while also taking part in spiritual practices, including meditation and tai chi.

About one-third of Gen Z adults identify as religious, according to the survey. That is nearly double the rate among baby boomers.

The findings mark a change from previous generations, which have shown a steady religious decline in the United States.
